Cavalry Pommel Holster

Sword Hanger became a standard cavalry issue throughout the Civil and Indian Wars, up to 1900. Prior to the onset of the Civil War, J.E.B. Stuart did not like the design of the sword hangers used at that time so he designed and patented his own style of hanger. His device enabled the cavalryman to remove the sword, scabbard, and belt slings entirely without unhooking the scabbard from the belt and leaving the straps swinging loose from the belt rig.

The hanger is available in black or brown.

An economical cavalry carbine cartridge box features an inner flap covering a tool pouch. Wooden blocks for cartridges are included. The tab on the front flap is both sewn and riveted. There are 2 belt loops on the back. The box is sewn in white thread and is made of black leather and now in Russet.

The M1876 McKeever Box is used with the 45/70 rifle or carbine during the Indian Wars. It is made of high quality black leather with a US in oval embossed on the flap. The flap closure has a brass finial. There are two belt loops on the back. Inside are 2 rows of ten canvas loops for 20 cartridges. The box opens by folding down on a brass hinge. The box is available in Black or Russet leather.
