The carbine was carried by the trooper suspended from the Carbine Sling worn across his body attached to the carbine by the snap swivel. This carbine sling is authentically reproduced and is correct for both Civil War and later period cavalry. It features a regulation buckle and brass end piece.

This Carbine Socket is made of high quality leather and is tapered per the originals. The Carbine Socket was designed to hold the barrel of a trooper’s carbine snugly while riding on his mount. This pattern of Carbine socket continued in service after the Civil War and into the Indian Wars through the early 1880’s until replaced by the Carbine Boots. Available in Black leather. Russet leather is available by special order.

This is the Indian Wars pistol cartridge pouch for the M1873.  Nearly identical to the American Civil War Cap Box, except with US in oval embossed on the flap.  This economical cap box features an interior lining, brass finial, 2 belt loops on the back and is sewn in white thread.
